Terms Of Service

The terms and conditions below apply to all coaching services provided by Jalmec Carter-Holifield (The "Coach") and Meridian Life Coaching And Counseling, LLC to the individual or organization listed (The "Client"). These terms and conditions constitute the contract for the service to be provided by. The term ‘coaching’ as here used covers life coaching, relationship  coaching, and parenting coaching.


In committing to life coaching, you acknowledge the following:

You understand that the coaching services you will be receiving from your Coach are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions. You also understand that your Coach is not acting as a mental health counselor or a medical professional. Coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment, and you will not use it in place of any form of therapy. Additionally, for legal purposes, you acknowledge that coaching is currently an unregulated industry and that your Coach is not “licensed “ by any governing body.


Remarkable results can be achieved with the assistance of a coach, but the work falls to the Client. Results are dependent upon the amount of effort put in. It is the responsibility of the Client to attend every session and to be punctual. The Client is also expected to complete any tasks assigned by the Coach that may aide in furthering their progress. Though the Coach may make suggestions and encouragements, it is the responsibility of the the client to make  the important decisions in their life or relationship. The Coach has no liability for any loss incurred by any client, whether financial or otherwise, following commencement of coaching sessions, or for any perceived failure by the client, whether justified or otherwise, to achieve a material improvement in trauma recovery, quality of life, career or relationship or to achieve their desired outcomes or goals.


Any personal information supplied by Client in coaching sessions will be treated as confidential. No information will be disclosed to a third party without the Client's prior permission. Confidentiality may only be broken where required by law or where action might be necessary to prevent harm to the Client or someone else. The Client, however, is free to discuss the coaching relationship with anyone at anytime.

Services Offered

Meridian Life Coaching and Counseling offers three options for coaching services.

Life coaching focuses on aiding the client to make decisions, set and reach goals, and deal with problems that they may face on a day to day basis. The Coach will seek to enable the Client to improve his/her self-esteem, quality of life, and to achieve their desired outcome.

Relationship coaching is centered around improving the dynamic between you and your significant other. The key to a healthy relationship is effective communication. The Coach will guide you in learning more effective ways to both express yourself, as well as understand your partner.

Parenting coaching is designed to foster the relationship between parent and  child. The Coach provides the Client with guidance in navigating the intricacies of parenting, such as effective communication, healthy discipline, and more.

Scheduling Policy

All coaching sessions are scheduled in advance by the Client. Scheduling is available via the online scheduling portal. Consultations may be scheduled for either 30-minute or 60-minute sessions. 60-minute coaching sessions are conducted on a weekly basis. The Client is required to schedule and keep their appointment.


Prior to agreeing to coaching services, all client's are required to have a consultation. During this time, both the Client and the Coach can determine if coaching is the right fit. It is advised that the Client come to the consultation with a prepared list of questions or topics that they would like to address so that they can maximize their time. 

Coaching Packages

Following the initial consultation, all Clients will be given the opportunity to select from one of our coaching packages. We currently offer 4, 6, 8, and 12 week packages. All packages include a weekly 1-hour Zoom coaching session, in addition to unlimited email access. Zoom links will be sent 24- hours prior to the scheduled session. 

Late, Rescheduling, and Cancellation Policy

Client's are expected to attend their coaching sessions on time. It is the responsibility of the Client to notify the Coach if any changes are to be made to the schedule. There is a 15 minute grace period with each session. Following the 15 minute mark, the Client will be considered a "No Show" and a $25 "No Show" fee will be charged to the card on file. Additional time will not be added to the end of the session for client's who arrive late. Consultations may be rescheduled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled  appointment. After 24 hours, there will be a $25 rescheduling fee. Client's are allowed to reschedule their coaching session no later 12 hours prior to the start time of the appointment. Appointments must be rescheduled within the same week as the original appointment. Consultations must be cancelled no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If cancelled in a timely manner, a full refund will be issued. If cancelled under 48 hours but prior to 24 hours, a 50% refund will be issued. Cancellations made less then 24 hours prior to the scheduled consultation will not be refunded. Cancellations for coaching sessions must be made no later than 24 hours prior to the start time of the appointment to qualify for rescheduling at the end of the package term. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded or rescheduled. All sessions must be held no more than two weeks following the initially anticipated package completion date. Should rescheduling be required by the Coach, the patient will be notified in a timely manner, and will not be held accountable for the missed/ rescheduled appointment. 

Payment Policy

Payment for all consultations are due at the time of scheduling. Coaching packages can be paid in full at the time of scheduling, or Client's can opt for the payment plan. 

The payment plan requires a 50% deposit at the time of purchase. The remaining balance will be divided over the amount of time that your package covers. Payments will be due weekly, with the first payment due prior to the first session. If any installment payment should default, the Client will have seven (7) days to rectify the situation. Any scheduled coaching session(s) will be postponed until payment is received within the 7 days, and all discounts and bonuses will be forfeited and full payment will apply. If a Client should default on any installment payment, the result may be cancellation from the Program and the Cancellation Policy will apply. 

Early Termination Policy

Coaching packages may be terminated within 72 hours of purchase for a complete refund. Termination that occurs after 72 hours but prior to completion of 50% of the package will incur a 50% charge. Individuals who are on a payment plan will lose their deposit in it's entirety, but will be refunded any additional payments made. No refund will be issued for individuals who terminate services following the completion of 50% of their coaching package. 

All terminations must be made in writing via email to Jalmec.Carter-Holifield@MeridianLCC.com. The date and time on the email will be used as the date and time of termination. 

Additional Services

Individual appointments may be scheduled at the consultation rate. 

A $25 service charge will be added to each appointment involving more than one client. 


Clients may be contacted via email to provide feedback on their experience. A response is not mandated, but is greatly appreciated.
